12CashGear Shipping for Shopify
CashGear Shipping is a Shopify app for stores whose shipping company runs on Cash Gear ERP. The store owner (the merchant) and the shipping company choose to connect the store; the shipping company is responsible for the delivery data, and Cash Gear processes it on its behalf. Data processing terms
12.1 Data We Receive from Shopify
- Receiver: Name, phone numbers and shipping address for orders to be shipped
- Order: Order number, items and quantities, order note, weight, amount due on delivery, shipping method
- Store: The store's Shopify address and its access token, which we store encrypted
We do not receive customers' email addresses.
12.2 How We Use It
- Create and deliver the shipment and collect cash on delivery
- Mark the order fulfilled in Shopify with the courier's tracking number and update its delivery status
We do not use this data for marketing, do not sell or share it with third parties, and make no automated decisions about customers.
12.3 Who Can See It
The shipping company's staff who handle shipments, and the courier assigned to the parcel. Other merchants and couriers cannot.
12.4 Retention and Deletion
- Receiver details are kept while the shipment is active and until it is settled, then erased after the period the shipping company sets, unless the law requires longer
- When a store uninstalls the app, our access to the store in Shopify is removed at once; when Shopify asks us to erase a customer's or a store's data, we erase it, except what a shipment still in progress or the law requires us to keep
12.5 Data Requests
Customers can ask the store for a copy of their data or for its erasure. Shopify forwards the request to us and we answer within 30 days. Contact: info@cashgearerp.com
